\u201cWay Out\u201d is the 4th studio full length by Columbus Ohio\u2019s\u00a0Good<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span><\/strong>.
\nGood<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span>\u00a0is a punk\/pop band from Columbus, Ohio. The project
\nconsists of one member, Shane Natalie, who composes and records all
\ninstruments and vocals on the recorded albums but features an array of
\nColumbus musicians who bring the project to life for local and touring
\npurposes. Shane Natalie started recording the first S\/T LP in 2013
\nwith the help of Evan Wolff (Vacation, Pretty Pretty) following the
\nbreak up of Tight Bros in which Natalie played drums. In addition to
\nTight Bros and\u00a0Good<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span>, Natalie has performed with Lose the Tude,
\nPuberty Wounds, Pretty Pretty and The Sidekicks. Shane has also had
\nthe privilege to record for bands such as The Sidekicks, All Dogs,
\ndidi, Puberty Wounds, Pretty Pretty, Bomb the Music Industry and many
\nmore. He is presently an elementary Special Education teacher. The
\nband\u2019s current touring lineup features Shane Natalie on guitar and
\nvocals, Patrick Matanle (Toxic Womb, Puberty Wounds) on bass guitar
\nand Chris Mengerink (Brat Curse) on drums and vocals.<\/p>\n

Good<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span>\u00a0self-released (Gut Genug Recordings) the first S\/T LP
\n(vinyl, digitally) and second LP \u201cBreakfast\u201d (CD, digitally). The
\nthird LP \u201cLunch\u201d, was released digitally through Jeff Rosenstock\u2019s
\nQuote Unquote Records with limited vinyl distribution (125) through AF
\nRecord\u2019s Annual Record Club in addition to the remainder of the
\nrecords being self-released (Gut Genug Recordings). While previous
\nGood<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span>\u00a0releases have been inspired by political and social
\ndisparities, \u201cWay Out\u201d\u00a0 primarily focuses on deteriorating mental
\nhealth and increased social anxiety. True to\u00a0Good<\/span>\u00a0Shade<\/span>\u2018s nature, the
\nalbum features a rock and roll combination of fast paced melodic pop
\npunk and dark, cynical weirdness that keeps the listener engaged and
\ncurious. Though still lyrically abstract like its predecessors
\n\u201cBreakfast\u201d and \u201cLunch\u201d, the emotions \u201cWay Out\u201d elicits are
\nidentifiable and take a more personal turn, exposing the confused,
\nfrustrated and somewhat troubled mind of Natalie.<\/p>\n

\u201cWay Out\u201d is a tempo-varied collection of rock and pop numbers; each
\nsong consisting of unpredictable vocal melodies, bright Telecaster
\ntone and spastic but warm drums progressions. The album will be
\navailable digitally and on vinyl via Dirtnap Records.<\/p>\n
